' The Customs duties collected at Christchurch on Thursday, July 14th, were as follows : Spirits, .£344 3s lOd; tobacco, £sl 5s 6d ; cigars, £27 12s 9d; wine, £lB 15s; tea, £2O ; goods by weight, £24 9s 3d; ad valorem, £ 136.12 s Total, £622 18s 4d.
At the usual sitting of the Waste Lands Board, held at Christchurch on Thursday, July 14th, the following sales were made: —Ordinary, Ashley, 46a 3r 28p ; Selwyn, 32p; Akaroa, la 2r 35p ; Ashburton, la 2r; Geraldine, sa. Total acreage sold, 55a Ir 15p. Total cash received, £llO 19s 9d. Eefunds on account of former purchasers were made in the amount of £63 12a.
