THE FEVER QUESTION.

To the Julitor of the Globe, i m,—How is it no steps have "been taken to stop the Sunnyside Asylum authorities from pumping the foul and stinking water from the cesspool which they are now making into the ditches round the Lincoln road. This water is bad enough to create fever. I believe we have it bad enough here at present, through bad milk they say. This water nuisance was spoken about last Saturday at the inquest at Sunnyside Asylum, but no notice taken of It as yet I think our health officer wants looking up before it’s too life* Another thing I should like to know 'Bj where is the water, when the cesspool iB finished, to be drained ? Is it going to poison all the wells round the neighborhood, they a drain to carry it o2 ; if so, where? This cesspool is being built of bricks, which will allow all to escape into the ground, except the solid matter, which will be left behind, and the people living below the Lincoln road will have the benefit of it, if not seen to by them. Hoping I have not intruded too far on your valuable paper, Years, &c., G. AIRD, Lincoln Bead, gpreydon, July 15th.
