The machinery of the new steamship Parisian consists of a massive set of compound engines of the three-cylinder type, capable of developing 6200 indicated horse power, which will propel the ship at a speed of from 15 to 16 knots per hour. The vessel ranks next to the Q-reat Eastern in point of size. It is recorted that a secret Nihilist Society in New York went through a mock trial for the murder of the new Ozar for executing the regicides.
