Mails close at the Chief Post Office for the following places (subject to the necessary alterations) as under: — WEDNESDAY, JULY 13. For Australian Colonies and United Kingdom and Continent of Europe, via Bnndisi (specially addressed correspondence only), per express, to connect with s.s. Te Anau, at 7 a.m. ; books and newspapers, at 6 a.m ; registered letters, at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, July 12th. Late fee letters may be posted in the travelling Pest Office van attached to the express train on Wednesday. July 13th. THURSDAY, JULY 14. For Akaroa and Otago, per Waitaki, at 5.40 a.m.; lata fee letters, at 9.50 a.m.; guard’s van, i 0.20 am. train. For Northern Ports and Fiji Islands, at 1.45 p.m.; lata fee letters, at 2 p.m ; guard’s van, 2 40 p.m. train. SATURDAY, JULY 16. For United Kingdom (via San Francisco), Continents of Europe and America, West Indies, Sandwich Islands, Northern Ports of New Zealand, &0., per Wanaka, as follows: —Ordinary letters at 6.30 p.m.; late fee letters, at 7 p.m. ; books and newspapers, at 6.30 p.m.; registered letters, at 5 p.m.; money orders at 3 p.m. ; guard’s van, 830 p.m. train.
