Mails close at the Chief Post Office for the following places (subject to the necessary alterations) as under : S.ATUEDAY, JULY 9. For Northern Ports, per Penguin, at 7.30 p.nj. The guard’s van must not be used for this mail. TUESDAY, JULY 12. For Otago, Australian colonies and United Kingdom, and Continent of Europe, via Brindisi (specially addressed correspondence only), per Te Anan, at 1.45 p.na. ; late fee letters, at 2 p.m.; guard’s van, 2.40 pm. train. For Northern Ports, per Waitaki, at 1.45 p.m. ; late fee letters, at 2 p.m.; guard’s van, 2.40 p.m. train. SATUEDAT, JULY 16. For United Kingdom (via San Francisco), Continents of Europe and America, West Indies, Sandwich Islands, Northern Ports of New Zealand, &c., per Wanaka, as follows: — Ordinary letters at 6.30 p.m.; late fee letters, at 7 p.m. ; books and newspapers, at 6.30 p.m. zregistered letters, at 5 p.m.; money orders at 3'p.m. ; guard’s van, 830 p.m. train.
