MAIL NOTICES.
Mails close at the Chief Post Office for the following places (subject to the necessary alterations) as under FRIDAY, JULY 8. For the United Kingdom via Brindisi (for specially addressed correspondence only), Continent of Europe, Point de Galle, India, China, Japan, the East, Aden, Mauritius, Natal, Cape ot Good Hope, Suez, the Mediterranean Ports, Australian Colonies, Otago, &c., per express train, to connect with a. s. Rotomahana, as follows: Ordinary letters, at 7 a.m; books and newspapers at 6 a.m. ; registered letters, at 5 p.m. on Thursday, July 7th ; late fee letters may bo posted in the travelling Post-office van attached to the express train. For West Coast Sounds, per West Coast Mail, to connect with the s.s. Wallace, at 7 a.m. For Wanganui, per St. Kilda, at 11.15 a.m.; late fee letters, at 11.30 a.m.; guard's van, 12 noon train. For Northern Ports, per Grafton, at 1.40 p.m. ; late fee letters, at 2 p.m.; guard’s van, 2 30 p.m. train. The next mail for the United Kingdom, via San Francisco, &c,, <tc., will close on July 16th.
