H. Hawkins and Co., agents. Slather, brigantine, 47 tons, Davis, for Havelock. Master, agent. The steamer Star of the South passed the Beads yesterday at 11.30 a.m. bound north. The Island Lily got away yesterday evening Her Auckland. The Union Steamship Company’s a.s. Hawea, Captain Kennedy, arrived from Manukau via Coastal Ports at 4.25 a.m. on Saturday, and left at night for Wellington. The ship Corby will be cleared to-day for the United Kingdom by Messrs Hoyse, Stead_ and Co. and Messrs P. Cunningham and Co. with a cargo of grain. , , , The schooner Clyde, timber laden, and bound to Kaiapoi, returned to port yesterday, after an nasuccesafnl attempt to get into the river, the sea on the bar at the entrance to Kaiapoi being too rough. . . The steamer Jane Douglas arrived on Satur. day night from Kaikoura and Wellington. The heavy southerly sea at Kaikoura prevented the vessel from communicating with the shore, and a number of anxious would-be passengers were in consequence disappointed. The Jana Donglas is advertised to leave on the return trip this evening. The vessels at the Wharves last evening were —At No. 1: Remington, Oxford, Merope, Lnriine, Abernyte. No. 2: Jane Donglas (s). No. 3: Hinomoa (s). Cabana, Craigard, Elizabeth. Carle. No. 4: Hannah Barrett, Saucy Lass, Corby. No. 5: Fray Bentos. No. 6 s Island City, Mary Blair. No. 7: Comet, Esther, Annie Hill, Thames. In the stream: Clyde, Palace. Mr Moloney, who it will be remembered was second officer on the ill-fated steamer Tararua at the time of her wreck, and who has since been serving in a similar capacity on the Hawea, was removed on her last trip to this port, Mr Kemp, of the Ta Anau, taking his place. Mr Moloney proceeded South in the Wanaka, bnt we are informed that he will shortly take the command of the U.B.S. Co.’s 800 Jnm at Napier.—Wellington “ Times.” SHIPPING TELEGRAMS. Auckland, July 2. Bluff, July 4 The Ringarooma left Melbourne on the 29th at 5.33 p.m., passed the Solanders at 6.20 p.m. on the 3rd, and arrived at daylight. She experienced fresh westerly winds, with high seas.
