[P3H PBBSB ASSOCIATION.] NAPIER, July 1. Vital Statistics. The vital statistics for the month of June were—births, 36 ; marriages, 6; deaths, 6. Customs Revenue. The customs rovenue for the quarter amounts to £9892 14s 103, out of which beer paid £ll7 6d. Dry Bones. On romoving a oottage in town, two skeletons were unearthed, supposed by tho age of the bones to be tho remains of Natives. NEW PLYMOUTH, July 1. The Harbor Works. The Harbor Board took over from the engineer, Mr Bees, his control of the harbor works this morning. Preparing for the Feast. A largo Native meeting is to be held at Parihaka shortly. A large number of Nativos are out shooting wild birds for it. Herr Bandmann Appreciated. Herr Bandmann is doing large business here. The house was again crammed last night. WELLINGTON, July I. CommittalHenry Ferris, oharged with larceny as a bailee, was committed for trial. He was arrested on the ove of his departure for Newcastle. Died in GaolEllen Flowers, an old offender, died in gaol yesterday. An inquest will be held this afternoon. DUNEDIN, July 1. Customs RevenueThe customs ' revenue for the past six months is £207,284, against £182,929 for the corresponding half-year of 1880. The Unemployed. Mr Stout, at the request of the unemployed, telegraphod to the Premier, suggesting the desirablenepo of work being found for them. Tho Hon. J. Hall replied :—" Very sorry to learn from your telegram that employment is scarce. The Government have no works on whioh tfaoy could offer employment, but will be ready to assist benevolent comcittees if necessary." liberal Offer.
