MAIL NOTICES.
Mails close at the Chief Post Office for the following places (subject to tho necessary alterations) as under : THURSDAY, JUNE 30. For Akaroa and Otago, per Wanaka, at 0.30 a.m. : late fee letters, at 9.40 a m. ; guard’s van, 10.10 a.m. train. For Northern Ports, per Te Anau, at 3.20 p.m.; late fee letters, at 330 p.m.; guard’s van, 4 p.m. train. FRIDAY, JULY 8. For West Coast Sounds, per express train, to connect with the s.s. Wallace, at 7 a.m. The next mail for tho United Kingdom, via San Francisco, &c., will close on July IGth. This mail will be duo in London on August 30th. SYDNEY J. DICK, Chief Postmaster.
