The Customs duties collected at Christchurch on Monday, Jnne 27th, were as follows : Spirits, £ll6 16s 5d ; tobacco, £2B; wine, £42 9s; tea, £8 6s 8d; goods by weight, £SB 9s 2d ; ad valorem. .£lO9 lls ; other duties, £136754d. Total, £498 19s 7d. At the usual sitting of the Waste Lands Board, held at Christchurch on Monday, June 27th, sales were made as follows Ordinary: Ashley, 17a. 2r. 21p. ; Selwyn, 21a. Or. 34p.; Ashburton, 96a. Ir. 12p.; Geraldine, 20a. 2r. Ip. Deferred payments, village settlements : Fairlio Croak, la.; Orari (No. 1), la. Total acreage sold, 157 a. 2r. 28p. Total cash received, .£325 7a. Refunds were made on account of former purchases, £97 5s 10d. AUCTIONEER’S REPORT. Mr Charles Clark reports a very good attendance at his Property Auction Sale yester* day. The properties offered comprised—l. The lease of a qaorter-acre of land in Cheater street East, with dwelling-house thereon, held for an unoxpired term of 27i years, at a ground rent of .£2O. Lot 2 was a corner section on the West bolt, near the saleyards ; a capital allotment, containing lr 4p. Lot 3 was the Town Section 386. at the junction of Worcester and Montreal streets, with buildings thereon. Lot 1 realized ,£255. Lot 2 was p issed in, and Lot 3 fetched .£2210 ; nil cash sales. Total sale, £2465.
