[eeutee’s telegeams.] Progress of the Irish Land BillLONDON, Juno 28. The consideration of tho Irish Land Bill in Committee of tho whole was resumed in tho House of Commons last evening. After further debate, lasting through tho whole sitting, tho fourth clause of tho measure was passed without amendment, and progress was reported. The New Governor of Madras. It is announced officially that tho Right Hon. M. C. Grant Duff, Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for tho Colonies, has been appointed Governor of Madras Presidency, vico W. L. Adam, deceased.
