MAIL NOTICES.
Mails close at the Chief Post Office for the following places (subject to the necessary alterations) as under : WEDNESDAY, JUNE 29. For the United Kingdom and Continent of Europe, via Brindisi (for specially addressed correspondence only), and Australian Colonies, per express train, to connect with s.s. Rotorua, as follows :—Ordinary letters, at 7 a.m. ; books and newspapers at 6 a.m ; registered lottors, at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, June 28th ; money orders, at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, June 28th. Late fee letters may be posted in the travelling Post-office van attached to the express train on Wednesday, June 29th THURSDAY, JUNE 30. For Akaroa and Otago, per Wanaka, at 9.30 a.m. ; late fee letters, at 9.40 a.m.; guard's van, 10.10 a.m. train. For Northern Ports, per To Anau, at 3 20 p.m.; late fee letters, at 330 p.m.; guard's van, 4 p.m. train. FRIDAY. JULY 8. For West Coast Sounds, per express train, to connect with the s.s. Wallace, at 7 a.m. The next mail for the United Kingdom, via San Francisco, &c, will close on July 16th. This mail will be due in Loudon on August 30th. SYDNEY J. DICK, Chief Postmaster.
