MAIL NOTICES.
Mails close at the Chief Post Office for the following places (subject to the necessary alterations) as under : THURSDAY, JUNE 16. For Akaroa and Ctago, per Hawea, at 9.30 a.m. ; late fee letters, at 9.40 a.m. ; guard's van, 10.10 p.m. train. For Northern Portß, per R stoma, at 1.40 p.m.; late fee letters, at 2 p.m.; guard's van, 2 30 p.m. train. For Kaikonra and Wellington, per Jane Douglas, at 3.20 p.m.; late fee letters, at 3.30 p.m.; guard's van, 4 p.m. train. SATURDAY, JUNE 18. For United Kingdom (via San Francisco), Continents of Europe and America, West Indies, Sandwich Islands, Northern Forts of New Zealand, &c, per Penguin, as follows: — Ordinary letters at 6.80 p.m.; late fee letters, at 7 p.m. ; books and newspapers, at 6 30 p.m.; money orders at 3 p.m.; registered letters, at 5 p.m.; guard's van, 8.30 p.m. train.
