MAIL NOTICES
Mails close at the Chief Post Office for the following places (subject to the necessary alterations) as under : TUE3DAY, JUNE 14. For Northern Ports, per Wanaka, at 7.30 p.m. The guard's van mast not be used for this mail. WEDNESDAY, JUNE 15. For United Kingdom and Continent of Europe (via Brindisi, specially addressed), and Australian Colonies, per express to connect with s.s. Bingarooma, at 7 o'clock. Late fee letters may be posted in the travelling post office von attached to the express train. THUBSDAY, JUNE 16. For Akaroa and Otago, per Eawea, at 9.30 a.m. ; late fee letters, at 9.40 a.m. ; guard's van, 10.10 p.m. train. For Northern Ports, per Botorna, at 1.40 p.m.; late fee letters, at 2 p.m.; guard's van, 2.30 a.m. train. SATURDAY, JUNE 18. For United Kingdom (via San Francisco), Continents of Europe and America, West Indies, Sandwich Islands, Northern Ports of New Zealand, Ac, per Penguin, as follows: Ordinary letters at 6.30 p.m.; late fee letters, at 7 p.m. ; books and newspapers, at 6.30 p.m.; money orders at 3 p.m.; registered letters, at 5 p.m.; guard's van, 8.30 p.m. train.
