W. Beckwith agrees to swim a twenty mile and a six days' matoh with Captain Webb for £IOO (open to £200) a side each event, and has posted deposits for each race. Mr W. Scott, the famous marksman, has quite recovered from his recent accident, and will recommence his shooting with Dr. W. F. Carver at Birmingham.
