MAIL NOTICES.
Mails close at the Chief Post Office for the following places (subject to the necessary alterations) as under : FRIDAY, JUNE 3. For Australian colonies, per Hero, at 320 p.m.; late foe letters, at 330 p.m.; guard's van, 4 p.m. train. SATURDAY, JUNE 4. For Northern Ports, per Wanaka, at 7.30 p.m. The guard's van must not be used for this mail. TUESDAY, JUNE 7. For United Kingdom, via Briudisi (specially addressed), India, .China, Japan, &c, &c, per Te Anau. The next mail for the United Kingdom, &c, via San Francisco, will close on Saturday, 18th June.
