Mails close at the Chief Post Office for the following places (subject to the nocossary alterations) as under : THURSDAY, JUNE 2. For Akaroa and Otago. per Penguin, at 9.50 a.m.; late fee letters, at 9.40 a.m.; guard's van, 10.10 a.m. train. For Northern Ports, per Ringarooma, at 1.40 p.m. ; late fee letters, at 2 p.m.; guard's van, 2.30 p.m. train. For Australian colonies, per Hero, at 1.40 p.m. ; late fee letters, at 2 p.m.; guard's van, 2.30 p.m. train. The next mail for the United Kingdom, &e , via San Francisco, will close on Saturday, 18th June. SYDNEY J. DICK, Chief Postmaster.
