Mails close at the Chief Post Office for the Following’ places (subject to the necessary alterations) as under: — WEDNESDAY, JUNE 1, For Australian colonies, per express, to connect with s s. Albion, at 7a m. Late fee letters may be posted in the travelling Post-office van attached to the express train. For Napier, Gisborne, and Auckland, per Taiaroa, at 1.40 p.m.; late fee letters, at 2p.m,; guard’s van. 2 30 p.m. train. THUKSDAY, JUNE 2. For Akaroa and Otago, per Penguin, at 9.30 a.tn.; late foe letters, at 9.40 a m.; guard’s van, 10.10 a m. train. For Northern Ports, per Ringarooma, at 1.40 p.m. ; late fee letters, at 2 p.m.; guard’s van, 2.30 p.m. train. For Adelaide and Australian colonies, per Hero, at 1.40 p.m. ; late fee letters, at 2 p.m.; guard’s van, 2.30 p.m. train. The next mail for the United Kingdom, Ac , via Han Francisco, will close on Saturday, 18th June. SYDNEY J. DICK, Chief Postmaster.
