MAIL MOTTOES.
Mails close at the Chief Post Office for the following places (subject to the necessary alterations) us under TUESDAY, MAY 31. For Adelaide and Australian colonies, per Hero, at 7.30 p.m. The guard’s van must not be used for this mail. For Napier, Gisborne, and Auckland, per Taiaroa, at 3.20 p.m. ; late foe letters, at 3.30 p.m.; guard’s van, 4 p.m. train. For Otago and Australian colonies, per Albion, at 1.40 p.m.; lute fee letters, at 2 p.m.; guard’s van, 2.30 p.m. train. For Northern Ports, per Wanaka, at 3.20 p.m. ; late fee letters, at 3.20 p.m. ; guard’s van, 4 p.m. train. WEDNESDAY, JUNE 1. For Australian colonies, per express, to connect with as. Albion, at 7a m. Late fee letters may be posted in the travelling Poat-ovice van attached to the express train. The next mail for the United Kingdom, &c , via San Francisco, will close on Saturday, 18th June. SYDNEY J. DICK. Chief Postmaster.
