Thu barque Ahernyte arrived from London last; night after a rath-r protracted passage of 111 days. The steam-tng Lyttelton went ont for her. On the second or third day out the conic, !■'. Tr.y'.or. could not be found, and as nothing has been seen of him since the night before the matter was reported ho is supposed to have fallen overboard. The captain states that bo appeared l» have been drinking hard before starting on the voyage. SHIPPING TELh-GEAMS. Auckland, May 30. The Zealandia arrived last night at 6.30. She left San Francisco on the Bth, stopped off Honolulu on 15th, landed passengers and mails, and resumed her voyage four hours later. Had moderate and fine weother throughout tbo passage. Last Saturday evening observed a brilliant comet in the direction of S. 50. west altitude 11.5; tail, 1.43, in N.N.W. direction. An the comet lessened its altitude its tail looked N.N.E., and was seen for three-quarters of an hour. The Zealandia carried no freight for Honolulu ; stopped about three miles oft the part, and landed passengers and The small-pox is no longer considered epidemic there : only a few spoardic cases occured at intervals among the natives, and the other island group is said to bo entirely free from the disease. The death rate hod been decreasing rapidly for some weeks prior to the Zealandia s visit. Passengers—For Now Zealand : Madame Gartlan and friend, Mr and Mrs It. Stark, Mr and Mrs T. Larkins and five children. Misses duties and Portor. For Sydney: Twenty-five passengers. The cargo includes 100 cases of aaimon for Nelson; 20 cases of honey, 1 case telephone instruments for Wellington ; 400 cases or salmon and 20 bales of hops for Port Chalmers. Bluff, May 30. The Eingarooma left Melbonnrne on 25th May at. 10.55 a.in. ; passed the Solanders at 12.30 pm.; arrived at the Bluff 6 p.m., 29th. Passengers—Saloon for Bluff : Mr Irvino ; for Bnnedin : Mr and Mrs Tyme, Mr and Mrs Stark, Mosers I>o Boor, Irvino, Mrs Brock and four 'steerage: for Lyttelton : Two steerage : for Wellington r Mrs and Miss Lister, Mesdames Corony, Greening and Smith, Mr Miles and two steerage ; for Napier: Mr McDonald and ono steerage: for Auckland: Mr Baker. Had a strung westerly breeze, with high seas, throughout from S int!ridge to the Bluff, which was reached •.■.!tor a run of four doya and five hours. Dunedin, May 30. Messrs Cargill and Gibbs aro advised of the arrival at Homo on the 2b’th of the ship Canterbury from Port Chalmers, after a splendid passage of sixty-eight days.
