Mails close at the Chief Post Office for the following places (subject to the necessary altera* turns) as under : SATURDAY, MAY 28. For Northern Ports, per Penguin, at 7.30 p.m. The guard’s van must not be used for this mail. MONDAY, MAY 30. For Adelaide and; Australian colonies, per Hero, at 7.30 p.m. ' The guard’s van must not be used for this mail. ■■ * TUESDAY, MAY 31. For Otago and Australian colonies, per Albion, at 1.40 p.m.; late fee letters, at 2 p.m.: guard’s van, 2.30 p.m. train. For Northern Ports, per Wanaka, at 3.20 p.m.; late fee letters, at 3.30 p.m. ; guard’s van, 4 p.m. train. The next mail for the United Kingdom, &c , via San Francisco, will close on Saturday, 18th June. SYDNEY J. DICK, Chief Postmaster.
