Steele, Trent Bros. The Celestia, barque, from Greymonth, arrived this afternoon. She was mistaken by the signalman at tho Heads for W. C. Wentworth. The barque Remington, from London, was signalled as onr despatch loft Port to-day. She is consigned to the Now Zealand Shipping Company. The W. C. Wentworth left Newcastle on May sth, and put back May 10th. The Rotorua, on her way down from Wellington, passed a deeply laden ship bound South. No doubt the Corby, from Newcastle. The New Zealand Shipping Company’s chartered ship Bouvanue arrived from Port Chalmers on Monday night to load here for London. The barque Dinaporo, from Adelaide, arrived on Monday night. She loads for a homo port for Messrs Cunningham and Co. and Royso, Stead and Co. The vessel sighted yesterday morning _ was within nine or ten miles of the Heads last night, but her name could not be made out. The p.s. Lyttelton went down for her. The barque Anne Melhniah, from Newcastle May 7th, arrived yesterday. SHIPPING TELEGRAMS. Auckland, May 24. Sailed —Australia, mail steamer, for San Francisco ; Thames, for New York. 13 r. Logan Campbell and family were passengers to Auckland by the mail steamer after a sojonrn in Europe. Carl Schmidt, the new conductor for the Choral Society, also arrived. Port Chalmers, May 24. Arrived—Te Anau, from the Bluff. Sailed—Hawea, for the North.
