INQUEST.

An inquiry was held at 4 p.m. yestcrlay at the Hospital before Sr. Frankish, oroner, and a jury, of whom Mr James Hake was ohosen foreman, touching the death f Frederick Saxton, a shunter on the railray, who fell down in an apparent fit whilst t his work on Saturday last. Alex. Anderon, a brother-in-law of deceased, deposed to lie sober habits. Henry Spence, yard forenan at the railway, deposed to lost seeing leceased alive at two o’clock on Saturday .fternoon. A few minutes later he saw him _ying across the rails on a loop line some four or five yards distant from some trucks he (deceased) had been shunting. He picked him up, and having called a cab, sent deceased to the hospital. Henry Ourzon corroborated the last evidence, and deposed to taking deceased to the hospital in a cab. He was quite certain that no injury had resulted from collision with any rolling stock. Dr. Meikle deposed to deceased having died a few minutes after admission to the hospital. He had since made a post-mortem examination, which proved that death had resulted from the rupture of one of the vessels of the heart. There were indications of disease whore the rupture had occurred. The body bore no marks of violence, and any unusual exertion would cause death when the bloodvessels were diseased. All the other organs were healthy, the brain particularly so. The Jury returned a verdict in accordance with the medical testimony.
