VITAL STATISTICS.
The following are the vital statistics of the principal towns for the month of April, 1881:
The total births in the above boroughs amounted to 424, against 460 in March, being a decrease of 36. The deaths amounted to 158 in April, a decrease of 25 on the number for Maroh. Of the above death?, males contributed 82 t females, 76. Seventy-Bix of the deaths were of children under five years of age, being 48'10 per oent. of the whole number ; 57 of these were of ohildren under one year of age.
