LONDON, May 20. Irish Land Bill. In tho Honao of Commons, yesterday, the Irish Land Bill was read a second time, and was passed by a majority of 176. Mr Parnoll and other members of tho extreme Irish party abstained from voting. PARIS, May 20. Departmental Deputies. The motion of M. Bardoux for the abolition of the sorutin d'ai-romlisHcmcnt, aud tho substitution of tho scrittin <le Hstf in its placo, was after much discussion adopted by tho Chamber of Deputies yesterday. French. Troops Opposed. Telegrams havo boon received by the Government from tho headquarters of the French army in Tunis to tho effect that tho advance of troops ha 3 been vigorously opposed by Native Arab tribes, and that severe fighting has taken place. ROME, May 20. Garibaldi Indignant.
Garibaldi, tlio Italian patriot, has written a letter to the press with reference to the troaty recently signed by the Bey of Tnnis and the commander of the French forces in that country, in which he (Garibaldi) declares that the annexation of Tunis by Prance would be an insult to Italy, and that the French policy in that respect is threatening to Italian intorests.
