MAIL NOTICES.
Mails close at the Chief Post Office for the following places (subject to the necessary alterations) as under SATURDAY, MAY 21. For United Kingdom (via San Francisco), Continents of Europe and America, West Indies, Sandwich Islands, Northern Ports of New Zealand, &c., per 0 aiaroa, as follows: — Ordinary letters at 6.30 p.m.; late fee letters at 7 p.m. ; books and newspapers, at 6 30 p.m.; money orders at 3 p.m. ; registered letters, at 5 p.m.; guard’s van, 8.30 p.m, train.
Note. —On Tuesday next, 24th May (Queen’s Birthday), the Chief Post-office will bo closed in all its branches. SYDNEY J. DICK, Chief Postmaster.
