CHRISTCHURCH. Thubsday, May 19. fßefore H. P. Lance, and A. Lean, Esqs., J.P.’s.] Drunkenness. —For this offence Margaret Bowen, an old hand, was fined 40s, or ninetysix hours’ imprisonment; Wm. Lambert, 10a, or twenty-four hours; Pat Ryan, 10s, or twenty-four hours; another Pat Ryan, 20s, or forty-eight hours; and for a first offence a man was fined 6s. Malicious Injuey to Peopbbty.—Wm. Christie, charged with maliciously wounding four cows, the property of Robert Eillbride, of Halswell, was on application of the police remanded till Monday, 23rd inst.
