A memorial church, called the Martyr's Church, has been erected by natives under the missionary’s direction at Erromanga. One of the tons of the murderer of John Williams laid the foundation-stone, and engaged publicly in prayer at the opening service. “ The blood of the martyrs is the seed of the Church” in the nineteenth os in the first or third century.
