The Customs dntios collected at Christchurch on Thursday, May 12th, were as follows Spirits, £lO3 18s Id; tobacco, £129 10a; cigar a, £\9 7a 9d ; cigarettes, £3; snuff, £33 12s ; wine, £l6 12s 8d ; beer, £3l 9s 6d; sugar, £95 10a 5d ; tea, £6 10s ; limber, ss; goods by weight, £27 18s 4d; ad valorem, £l3 4s; other duties, £23 6s Bd, Total, £513 4s sd. COMMERCIAL TELEGRAMS. Auckland, May 13. Barley is firm, with on upward tendency. Oats are advancing steadily. Oatmeal has been sold in this market as low as £lO 10s, but this is scarcely a fair criterion for the future, and such sales are exceptional. Potatoes, if anything, are firmer, Dunedin, May 13. Best milling wheat, 3s 9d to 3a lid; medium, 3b 3d to 3a 6d ; milling oats, la 8d; feed oats, la 6d to la 7d ; malt barley, 3a to 3a 6d ; feed, la 6d to Is 9d; oatmeal, £9 per ton; flour, £9 10a to £lO.
