SPREYDON BOAD BOARD.

The above Board met on Tuesday at ten a.m. Present—All the members. The following correspondence was dealt with: From the Eangitikei County Council, enclosing copy of resolutions to bo acknowledged—From the Waimakariri Board of Conservators re striking a rate. Deferred. The Chairman reported that he had let the clearing of Smith’s and Murphy’s drains. Approved. Bo closing road between Springs and South roads. Deferred until next meeting ; Mr Aymcs to obtain signatures of persons in the vicinity sanctioning the same and for renting reserves, to give a tender in writing by next meeting. Resolved —‘‘That, in accordance with clause 85, subsection 5, Public Works Act, 1876, the footpaths along Lincoln and South roads be used as footpaths only, and that all persons riding or driving cattle thereon will be prosecuted. The clerk to forward copy to the Superintendent of Police.” The clerk was directed to invite tenders for keeping Lincoln road in repair for twelve months j also fresh tenders for Milner’s road, in compliance with the request made by Mr Carr and others, for a footpath to be formed thereon. Mr Gallagher’s tender for forming Eaglesomo’o road was accepted. Accounts amounting to £llO 14s Id were passed for payment, and the Board adjourned
