Mails closo at the Chief Post Office for the following places (subject to the necessary alterations) as under : HATURDAY, MAT 7. For Northern Ports, per Penguin, at 7.30 p.m. The guard's van must not be used for this mail. MONDAY, MAY 9. For Northern ports, per GraftoD. TUESDAY, MAY 10. For Northern ports, per Taiaroa.at 1.40 p.m.; late foe letters, at 2 p.m.; guard's van, 2.30 p.m. train. For Otago and Australian Colonies, per Ringarooma, at 1.40 p.m.; late feo letters, at-2 p.m.; guard's van, 2.30 p.m. train. WEDNESDAY, MAY 11. For Australian Colonies, India, China, Japan, United Kingdom, via Brindisi (specially addressed) &c, &c, by express (to connect with s.s. Ringar;oma), at 7 a.m. ; books and newspapers at 6 a.m ; registered letters, at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, May 10th ; money orders, at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, May 10th. Late foe letters maybe posted in the travelling Post-office van atached to the express train on Wednesday. May 11th. " _ The next mail for the United Kingdom, &c , via San Francisco, will close on May 21at. Notice.—On and after Saturday, 30th April, the Sydenham Post Office will be oponed each Saturday night from half-past six till oigbt o'clock for the purpose of opening Savings' Bank accounts and receiving deposits.
