MAIL NOTICES
Mails close at the Chief Post Office for the following places (subject to the necessary alterations) as under: — FRIDAY, MAY 6 For Akaroa and Otago, per Wanaka, at 8.20 a.m.; late fee letters, at 8,30 a.m.; guard’s van, 9.5 a.m. train. SATURDAY, MAT 7. For Northern Ports, per Penguin, at 7.30 p.m. The guard’s van must not be used for this mail. Xnenext mail for the United Kingdom, &c., via San Francisco, will close on May 21st. Notice. —On and after Saturday, 30th April, the Sydenham Post Office will be opened each Saturday night from half-past six till eight o’clock for the purpose of opening Savings’ Bank accounts and receiving deposits.
