Teacher : “ What is a score ?” Pupil : “ The number of runs made at a cricket match.” Teacher: “No, no; what I mean is, how much does a score signify numerically ? What idea does it give you? That is to say, if I were to tell you that I had a score of horses, what would you think?” Pupil: “ Please, marm, I should think you was stuffin’ me.”
