CRICKET.

PRESS CLUB. Subjoined are the averages of the Press Club for the past season. The bowling averages show well, but the batting, with a few exceptions, has been poor. Both may be attributed to the wicket provided by the Association, ‘which has by no means been a first-class one. The matches played were as follows :—First eleven, 14 ; won 9 ; lost 3 ; drawn 2.
