The Customs duties oollootod at Christohnrcb on Saturday, April 23rd, were as follows : « Wine, .£2O 5b 4d; sugar, .£23 10s 8d; ad valorem, £26 13s. Total, .£7O 9s. COMMERCIAL TELEGRAMS. Reefton, April 25. The United Alpine Company put through during the week 168 tons of quartz for 1720z3 amalgam from the top plates. At the low level the reef is 16ft in thickness without any sign of running out. In the sonthorn workings the reef is 30ft wide, and will average all through 25ft. The Fiery Cross Extended crushed 61 tons for 760 z 14dwt; the Golden Fleece Extended, 138 tons for 2140 z; the Welcome, 100 tons for 4550 z amalgam ; there is about 2ft of atone on the face of the drive. The Golden Treasure Company has a good reef at 50ft, which shows gold freely. The Wealth of Nations has Sft of stona with good gold. Tho Nil Dospernndum stone,of which there is a good supply on hand, is cstimatbd to yield 14dwt to the ton.
