Gladstone that the funeral of the late Earl of Beaconsfield should ho publicly performed was made by the desire of the Queen, hut that her Majesty has deferred to the wishes expressed by the late Earl’s will that the funeral should he of a simple character. The interment will take place at Hughenden on Tuesday next. land leaguers Dissatisfied. The convention of Land Leaguers held in Ireland, at which 1000 members were present, has passed resolutions setting forth the definite refusal of the League to accept the provisions of the Irish Land Bill now before Parliament unless material amendments are made. Home Quotations. Consols remain at IOOs. The Bank rate of discount remains at 3 per cent.; the market rate has been reduced to 21 per cent. The total reserve in notes and bullion in the Bank of England is £15,500,000. New Zealand 1879-1904 Loan has advanced to 99-j ; Five per cent. 10.40 loan remains unchanged at 103, and the Five per cent. 1889 loan at 106.
