Tho ship Gay Mannering was berthed yesterday at No. 5 wharf to land her coal. Tho Jane Anderson, bound to Dunedin from Kaipara, passed tho Heads yesterday morning. The Union Steamship Company’s s.s. Wanaka arrived from Dunedin yesterday, and left for the North last evening. The Atlantic left Auckland last Monday for this port, aud the schooner Onward cleared on the 13th for Hokianga to load for here. Passengers for Melbourne can leave Lyttelton by the Penguin to-morrow or by Saturday's express, transhipping imto the Arawata, leaving Port Chalmers on Sunday next, the 21th inst. Tho ship Franco Gherie arrived from Newcastle yesterday, after a thirteen days’ passage, with a cargo of coal for Mr W. H. Hargreaves. She is to load for tho United Kingdom on behalf of tho New Zealand Shipping Company. Tho schooner Torea left Kaipara on tho 12th, and had moderate weather down the coast. The brig Fawn, bound to Melbourne, was at the Kaipara Hoads when she left, and tho Darcy Pratt, Tauranga, and Jessie Nicol for Dunedin. The Wild Wave, for Melbourne, and Aratapu, for Lyttelton, were loading. SHIPPING TELEGRAMS. Hokitika, April 19. Arrived—Prosperity, from Melbourne. Pout Chalmers, April 19.
