At the Police Court this morning an elderly man named Wm. Oldfield Wadford, schoolmaster, of a respectable position in life, was sentenced to one month’s hard labor for stealing a gold chain from the hat of a laborer named Dennison. Curious. At Albnry a shed was found burned down on Sunday night. It was filled with grain and hay, the property of the ponndkeeper. The origin of the fire is a .mystery. The door of the shed was locked. It is singular that the old ponndhonse was burnt down on the same spot this time last year.
