The ship signalled on Sunday evening proved to bo the Inch Murren, an iron clipper ship of 1254 tons, from Newcastle, with a cargo of coal lor Mr O. W. Turner. She left on March 15th, and had light winds to the Snares, which were sighted last Thursday. Very light baffling airs and calms were experienced thence to arrival, with thick fogs and low glass. She will load for the United Kingdom for Messrs. P. Cunningham and Co. and Messrs. Royse, Steady and Co. Captain Patterson, in command, on his arrival in tow of the tug steamer yesterday morning reported that he burnt lights off the Heads on Sunday evening, bnt through some misunderstanding the tng boat did not reach him until 8 a.m. yesterday.
SHIPPING TELEGKAM3. Blupp, April 5. Tho Arawata arrived at 5.30 am. Left Sandridgo at 1.30 on 29th March, and arrived at Hobart at 10.45 a.m. on 31st. Left 5.30 p.m. Experienced a strong easterly gale with heavy sea, which continued till passing the Solandors at 10 p.m. on tho 4th. The Arawata sails at 5 p.m. for Dunedin. Passengers : Saloon —For Bluff—Mr and Mrs Cleave, Mr and Mrs Chamberlain and servant, Mr H. Chamberlain, Mr and Mrs Tapper.
