Bank DividendThe Oriental Bank pays a dividend of 2 per cont. for the half-year ended Docembor 31st last, and carries forward £17,000 to the reserve fund. April 2. Earl Beaconsfield The latest bulletin reports that the state of weakness to which Earl Beaconsfield has boon reduced remains unaltered, and he can only obtain sloop occasionally. The spasms from which his Lordship has boen suffering have, however, subsided. PrecautionaryIn the House of Commons last night Mr Childers, Secretary of State for War, announced that it is intended to keep a British force of 12,000 troops permanently stationed in Natal and the Transvaal. The Ultra Radical. Mr Bradlaugh, in consequence of tho recent decision of tho Court in the action brought against him by Mr Clarke, has resigned his seat for Northampton, but announces his intention of seeking reelection. ATHENS, April 2. The Greek Question. The offer of the Porte to cede an extension of territory in Thossaly for the settlement of tho frontier question has been under the consideration of the Greek Government. The latter, after deliberation, has instructed its envoy at Constantinople to inform the ambassadors of the Powers that it must insist upon the town of Provisa in South Epirus, and situated on the northern shore of the Gulf of Arta, being ceded by Turkey in addition to the territory in Thessaly which is offered by the proposal of the Ottoman Government.
