Mails close at the_ Chief Post Office for the following places (subject to the necessary alterations) as under: — FRIDAY, APRIL I. For Northern ports and Australian Colonies, per Tararna, at 5.30 p.m.; late fee letters at 5.45 p.m. SATURDAY, APRIL 2. For Westport, Greymonth and Hokitika, per Beautiful Star, at 11.15 a.m.; late fee letters at 11.30 a.m. j guard’s van, 12 noon train. For Northern Ports, per Hawea, at 7.30 p.m. The next mail for the United Kingdom (via San Francisco) will leave on April 23rd SIDNEY J. DICK, Chief Postmaster.
