MAIL NOTICES.
Mails close at the Chief Post Office for the following places (subject to the necessary alterations) as under: — TUESDAY, MARCH 29. Far Northern Porta and Fiji Islands, per Wanaka, at 1.40 p.m.; late fee letters, at 2 p.m. ; guard’s van, 2.30 p.m. train. For Wellington and Northern Ports, per Wanaka, at 3.15 p.m.; late foe letters until 3.30 p.m. ; guard’s van, Lyttelton train, 4 p.m. train. For Otago and Australian Colonies, per Te Anan, at 1.40 p.m.; late fee letters at 2 p.m.; guard’s van, 2.30 p.m. train. WEDNESDAY, MARCH 30. For Australian Colonies, per express (to connect with Te Anan at Bluff), at 7 am.; late foe letters may be posted in the travelling postoffice van attached to the express train. The next mail for the United Kingdom (via San Francisco) will leave on April 23rd. SYDNEY J. DICK, Chief Postmaster
