NEW ZEALAND v. THE WORLD. Tho Association commenced their last ; match of the season on Saturday last, but, so far, the cricket shown was anything hut 1 worthy of the final exhibit, Tho wicket ! certainly was bumpy, which in a measure pardons the deficiency; but, with the exception of Watson on the aide of Tho World, and Fowke, for New Zealand, little wag done by ' any of the batsmen against moderate bowling. Watson played well for his runs. ! Seoretaa was well caught by Fowke at the j wickets off a bumpy ball. The total at the fall of the last wicket was only 69.
