CHRISTCHURCH. Saturday, Mabch 12. [Before G. L. Loo and R. Westonra, Eaqrs., J.P.’s.j Dbunkbnnbbs.—For first offences three men were fined 5s each. Labckny. —Charles James pleaded guilty to stealing carpenters’ tools of the value of from William Ishorwood. There being eight different convictions against prisoner for similar offences! ho was sentenced to threo months’ imprisonment, with hard labor. Nbolbcxed Children. —Lillian, Herbert William, and Eliza Florence Hill, aged ■even, six, and two years and a half, were brought up described as being neglected children. The master of the Burnham Industrial School stated that they had been committed from Wellington two years ago. Their parents, if living, had absconded, and as the time for which the children had boon sent up had neaily expire!, he had brought them before the magistrates to bo dealt with as they might think fit. They were ordered to be re-committed, each for the term of seven years, and to bo brought up in the tenets of the Church of England.
