[eeutee’s TELEGRAMS.] LONDON, March 10. Collision in the Channel. The barquo Chaudiero, from Napier, which arrived off the coast on Monday, came into collision yesterday with the Euphrates as sho was coming np the Channel. Sho suffered considerable damage, and shortly afterwards wont ashore on the Goodwin sands. She has, however, since been tugged off and brought safely into dock. One Week's Armistice. In the House of Commons to-night a question was put to the Premier regarding the armistice which has been declared between the Boers and the British troops in the Transvaal. Mr Gladstone, in reply, said that although it had only been agreed to suspend hostilities for one week, it had been understood between Sir George Colley and the Boer Commander that a longer armistice could be proclaimed should the state of the negotiations for peace render such necessary. Information has been received to-day from Ireland that an important seizure of military weapons, consisting of one hundred pikes, has been made by the police at Kanturk, in the County of Cork. Imperium in Imperio. Mr Parnell has issued a manifesto, in which he exhorts Irish voters in England to resist the legislative measures of the Liberals to the utmost, and to oppose the return of farther members of the party to Parliament. CAPETOWN, March 10. Return to Slaughter. News is to hand to-day from Basutoland that negotiations for peace which were proceeding between the Colonial Commander and Basutos have failed. The armistice has now entirely ceased, and hostilities between the two forces have been resumed.
