Match twelve was fired this morning. The North Island carbine team was composed of H. Dixon, of the Wellington Navals, who made the highest soore with 76 : Armstrong, Thames, second, with 74 ; Thomas, Thames, third, 74 ; Dady, Wellington, fourth, 71; 0. Franco, Wellington, fifth, 70. The other members of the team were Cameron, Thames; A. Dixon, Wellington ; McLean, Wanganui; F. Franoe, Wellington ; Gordon, Thames.
In the Consolation Match but three prizes were awarded. Sharland, Nelson, took first priza of £5 ; Wilson, second of £2; and Marshall, Otago, third of £l. The prizes were distributed this afternoon by Mrs Sutter, wife of the Bishop of Nelson. Major Baillie stated that over £650 had been distributed in prize money by the association. He spoke in satisfactory terms of the meeting, and specially referred to the prizes of plate and money given by Nelson citizens, which he said were of greater value than any previous special prizes. The Southern men leave on Friday.
