[beuteb's telegbamb.J SYDNEY, March 7. Cricket. The cricket match between the Australians and Eleven of New Sonth Wales and Victoria was resumed here to-day. The combined team continued their second innings, and were all disposed of for 289 runs. The Australians then requiring 332 to win the match, went in for their second innings, and when play closed for the day bad put together 10 runs for the loss of three wickets, Shipping. Exhibition Awards. The following further exhibition awards are announced :—First in order of merit —Kitchen and Sons (Wellington) and McLeod Bros. (Dundin), for candles; E. H. Banks (Christchnrch), P. Canningham and Co. (Ohristcburch), for peas and beans. Second order of merit —G. Bernascone (Wellington), for inlaid table of New Zealand woods; Guthrie and Larnach (Dnnedin) for hall door and frame of New Zealand woods, George King and Co. (Christchnrch) for beans, E. H. Banks (Christchnrch) for peas. Third order of merit—W. Wilkinson (Thames) for specimens of printing, Robert Barrett (Wellington) and Government printer (Wellington) for specimens of bookbinding, the Proprietors of the " Times " (Christchnrch) for specimens of engraving, Fergusson and Mitchell (Dunedin) for account books, Robert Burrett (Wellington) for engraving. Fifth order of merits—W. Nicholson (Wellington) for sideboard of New Zealand woods, Paterson, Burke and Co. (Dunedin) for Venetian blinds, Austin, Kirk and Co.' limited (Christchurch), for pottery. Honorable mentions—W. J. Grayling (Taranaki), for tanning, dyeing, and medical extracts,- T. Bennett (Thames), for specimens of hematite ; E. R. Edwards (Thames), for paints and minerals. Fourth order of merit—Large and Townloy (Napier) for work-table inlaid with New Zealand woods, Mrs Maxwell Fernhill (Wellington) for curtains designed aftor New Zealand ferns and drawn in ink, T. Myers (Wellington) for picture frames. Wreck. The barque Tndia, bound from London to Port Pirie, Sonth Australia, has been wrecked at tho Cape (sic). All lives have been saved.
