The weather was very fine to-day. Ihe arrangements for obtaining scores are very bad, and the register keepers do not send in their score sheets for a long time after the matches are over, and frequently some arc mislaid. No official lists of scores or prizes are made out for hours, and the Press reporters have the greatest difficulty in obtaining material to make up their own lists. The competitors are entirely dependant on the reporters to ascertain their positions. The sixth and seventh matches were commenced to-day, and the eighth (all members) was also commenced and two ranges completed. Tait, of Wellington, at present leads in it.

Match No. 6 —Volunteers only. 200, 400,500, and 600 yards ; seven rounds at each distance. Prizes—£lo, £9, £B, £6, £5, three of £3, two of £2, nine of £l.

These will be fired on Saturday.
