THE ENEMY’S STRATEGY. [EEUTEE’s TELEQEAMB.] CAPETOWN, February 28. Additional intelligence from Natal regarding the disasters at Spitkop has been received. The Boers are stated to have had large stores of ammunition with which they were able to maintain their attack without intermission, and they stormed the position of the British splendidly during a temporary confusion which arose in the ranks of the latter. They had previously prepared to cut off the British retreat, during which they inflicted further loss on onr troops, and prevented many from escaping. LONDON, February 28. It is announced that throe more regiments are under orders for Natal to reinforce the British troops in the Transvaal ; and, farther, that Sir Fredk. Roberts will at once proceed to Natal to succeed the late Sir George Colley in command of the forces operating against the Boers,
