Dobson, Eaqrs., J.P.’s.] Dbunkhnkhbb. — Mary Cunningham, described by the magistrate as incorrigible, was sent to prison for three months with hard labor. A man and a woman for first offences were fined each 10s. Illegally on Pbbmibbb. —Thos. Harding, lor being found on tho premises of one Emerson on Monday night, where he broke some windows, was sentenced to seventy-two hours’ imprisonment, with hard labor. LYTTELTON. Tuesday, Maboh 1. [Before W. Donald, Esq., R.M.] Wiuul Damagb. Ellon Evans was charged with breaking eight windows in Mr Cole’s shop in ■ London street on Monday afternoon. The arresting constable exhibited a number of good-sized boulders, which the accused had amused herself by heaving into Mr Cole’s shop, through tho window frame. She was further charged with using obscene language. The Bench said the use of such foul-mouthed language must be put down, and saw every reason why the full penalty should be inflicted. Tho defendant was ordered to pay £lO, or undergo three months’ imprisonment. Dbunkbnnkbb and Resisting a Constable. —J. Anderson was arrested in a mad state of drink on the railway, and wan fined 20s or forty-eight hours, and for resisting tho constable a like penalty.
